The Individual Giving Coordinator is responsible for managing the operations of a growing individual giving team, identifying and executing stewardship opportunities for donors giving less than $500 a year, and providing event coordination support.  The position will also support major and mid-level gift fundraising by the Senior Manager of Individual Giving and Vice President for Development and Communications.

The Individual Giving Coordinator will report to the Senior Manager of Individual Giving and will maintain close relationships with the entire Development and Communications Department, especially the Salesforce Administrator, Donor Marketing Manager, and Development Associate.

Section 3: Essential Duties

Coordinate individual donor cultivation and stewardship activities (50%)
  • Develop and manage Salesforce reports and dashboards to analyze, track, and identify giving trends.
  • Maintain schedule of stewardship and cultivation activities both inside and outside of Salesforce.
  • Manage online and in-person event logistics, including coordination of interpreters and honorarium payments; ticket and event registration processes, vendor coordination, and develop related donor and prospect lists.
  • Develop and manage the first phase of a new donor programs strategy through April 2023. This includes managing donor program tracking, automation, and reporting in our Salesforce CRM.
  • With guidance from the Senior Manager of Individual Giving, enter payment allocations, projections, and proposal and reporting deadlines related to major donors into Salesforce.
  • Create process to identify and track major donor prospects.
  • Advise Communications team and Salesforce Administrator on field-mapping, data migration, and other Salesforce processes related to any data projects involving donor data.

Steward and cultivate portfolio of lower-level donors (30%)
  • Support Senior Manager of Individual Giving to manage and grow donor base, with a specific focus on growing the portfolio of donors giving less than $500 a year.
  • Increase donor retention rates by implementing and managing stewardship plans for donors giving under $500 a year.
  • Liase with the Communications team to identify best online payment system to support growth in and retention of individual donors who give online.
  • Coordinate with Communications team and external consultants to develop donor-facing materials for donors giving less than $500 a year. This could include digital, email, and direct mail content.
  • Research and suggest new fundraising strategies and opportunities.

Other tasks (20%)
  • Represent the Individual Giving team in organization and department-wide meetings.
  • Coordinate with Finance and Salesforce Administrator on gift processing, payment allocations, and gift reconciliation processes.
  • Assist with scheduling internal and external meetings, payment processing, and notetaking.
  • Assist with gift and acknowledgement processing during busy times.

Section 4: Minimum Qualifications

3 to 5 years of development experience with strong preference for direct experience working with individual donors. Experience in event coordination and project management preferred. Ability to perform detailed work with a high degree of accuracy. Experience processing donations and managing donor/gift data in a CRM (Salesforce or similar system).
