Payroll Specialist
JustinBradley’s partner in entertainment are seeking an IMMEDIATE backfill for a Payroll Specialist. This role is a 12-month long contract, with benefits, and a hybrid working schedule. This person might work some PST hours and MUST have strong experience with Workday and ADP. This person will process bi-weekly payrolls, act as a team lead, answer employee questions, and create ad-hoc reports on demand.
Responsibilities
- Process employee Time & Attendance data from the Time system to payroll and reconcile variances
- Maintain monthly metrics on payroll team performance, ability to streamline and improve audit processes
- Process off-cycle payments
- Handle Travel and Expense reimbursements and deductions
- Process wage assignments, acting as a liaison with an outside vendor
- Reconciliation of general ledger and payroll tax
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or minimum 2 years of experience in area of responsibility
- Strong communication (written and verbal), customer service, organizational, problem solving, and interpersonal skills
- Commitment to teamwork through relationship-building, reliability, and collaboration
- Attention to detail, accuracy, and strong organizational skills
- Capacity to juggle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to work independently as well as in cross-functional groups
Technical Qualifications
- Experience with Workday, ADP and SAP strongly preferred
- Experience with financial applications including Microsoft Office, ADP, and SAP
- CPP and FPC
- Proficient working with Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint, MS Outlook.
