Staff Accountant
JustinBradley’s client, a Rosslyn based, full-stack quantum hardware and software company is seeking a Staff Accountant to join their team. This organization is on a mission to accelerate the value of quantum computing for real-world business solutions, delivering the future of quantum computing, today. The company delivers accessible and affordable full-stack solutions with real-world industrial applications, using photonic-based quantum entropy, which can be used anywhere and with little to no training, operates at normal room temperatures and low power.
The ideal candidate for the Staff Accountant will be motivated to tackle the Company’s day-to-day accounting responsibilities. The Staff Accountant will work closely with the Finance Lead and Controller, executing daily, monthly and year-end accounting activities, such as recording transactions, preparing journal entries, tracking budgets, and preparing reports. The ideal candidate for this role will have a strong basis of accounting and be excited to grow their finance career with a rapidly evolving technology company.

Highlighted Responsibilities:

Enter accounting transactions for procure-to-pay and order-to-cash processes.

Prepare accrual and other journal entries with supporting documentation in accordance with best practices.

Prepare monthly fluctuation analyses, roll forward schedules and reconciliations, and financial statement footnotes.

Use accounting knowledge to resolve reconciling items and work to minimize such items on a go-forward basis.

Conduct account analysis and research in support of management budget and actuals reporting.

Support consolidated and/or statutory audits by preparing deliverables and responding to audit inquiries and issues.

Conduct all accounting and reporting activities in accordance with U.S. GAAP and Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) standards.
A well-qualified candidate will possess the following:

Bachelor’s degree, or higher, in Accounting.

2-5 years of work experience in the accounting field.

Advanced Microsoft Excel skills; VBA/macro experience strongly preferred.

Familiarity with U.S Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), SEC and other accounting and reporting standards.
