One Action Item You Should Be Doing After Every Interview

After every interview, consider spending about 20 minutes to collect and write down all your thoughts.

Focus your notes on the candidate’s unique answers, body language, the flow of conversation, and anything else that could be interesting or important, including possible red flags. This will make it easier for you to recall the details of each interview later as you narrow down your pool of candidates and begin checking references.

Adding this time after your interviews will make the hiring process more efficient and it will help you keep track of the candidates who are best suited to move forward in the interview process.
